Just a Touch: How Any Object Becomes Customized with SBS's Stick!t

SBS has introduced Stick!t, a new platform designed to bring mass customization directly into retail stores. This service emerges as the latest piece of a broader ecosystem, Fast Skin, which over the years has evolved from a simple on-demand protection solution for smartphones and tablets to a true hub of digital services for retail.

The Fast Skin project currently boasts 7,000 installed machines in major European retail locations. This number tells the story of growth built gradually: SBS started from the most immediate need—physically protecting devices—and then progressively expanded the offering with more advanced materials and new customization possibilities.

From this journey, tools like Skeen and SkeenPix were born, designed to create custom, colorful skins, and CaseLab, which allows users to print unique covers from photos or images chosen freely. Stick!t fits into this evolving line but expands the scope well beyond simple device protection.

What Changes with Stick!t

With Stick!t, which we discussed at the SBS The Next event, SBS aims to transform any surface into a space for personal expression. The idea is to make mass customization accessible in real-time, directly at the point of sale, without intermediary steps or waiting.

Through the dedicated app, users can generate original stickers in three different ways: by choosing from a graphic catalog curated by professionals, uploading images from their personal gallery, or creating unique content through artificial intelligence. The process is designed to be quick and intuitive, making customization an immediate action for both the consumer and the retailer, who sees in this service an additional tool to enhance customer loyalty in-store.

This initiative reflects a broader trend in the retail sector: services no longer just accompany products; they become the factor that determines perceived value. SBS summarizes this in a claim as simple as it is direct: "Say it. Mean it. Stick!t." This encapsulates the ambition of a company that, since 1994, based in the province of Novara, has established itself as an international reference point in the market for smartphone and tablet accessories.

SBS's bet is that personalization, if made simple and immediate, will stop being an occasional accessory and become a recurring consumption habit. The real test will be, as always, the response from retail locations deciding to integrate the new Stick!t stations alongside the existing ones dedicated to Fast Skin.
