Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra: three novelties for a true generational leap compared to S26 Ultra

Rumors continue about the new Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra, the future flagship from the Korean company that will debut next year alongside the brand new Pro variant. According to a new leak, the smartphone is expected to introduce at least three significant innovations compared to the S26 Ultra. The goal is to ensure a real generational leap after the latest Ultra versions have only introduced marginal innovations.

The Innovations of the Galaxy S27 Ultra

The next top-of-the-line device from Samsung is expected to introduce several new elements in its technical specifications. In particular, the company is working on three aspects:

  1. Goodbye to the 10 MP telephoto lens; the smartphone should feature a single 5x periscope telephoto lens with a possible sensor upgrade to improve quality.
  2. Increase in battery capacity, facilitated by the removal of the telephoto lens which will free up space beneath the chassis; currently, there is no detailed information, and the switch to silicon-carbon batteries is not confirmed; however, an increase of at least 10% in capacity seems inevitable.
  3. Introduction of wireless charging with Qi2 standard with integrated magnets under the chassis.

Of course, there will also be other novelties, starting with the upgrade of the SoC with the arrival of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.

The new S27 Ultra, on paper, could represent a significant generational leap compared to the previous model. We will see if the rumors will eventually be confirmed by the facts.

Considering also the arrival of the Pro version, Samsung seems determined to significantly update its product range. The event is set for next year, with the new S27s debuting during the first quarter.
