Recent and with a refined design, this ASUS Vivobook adopts a 15.6" Full HD display and a slim profile, weighing only 1.63Kg. As for the CPU, we find an AMD Ryzen 5 40, with 4 cores, 8 threads and a peak at 4.3GHz. It is complemented by 16GB of RAM and a super-fast 512GB SSD, really not bad considering the price and the period. Great port selection; one USB-C is also used for power, which is no small factor.

Perhaps less elegant, but more pragmatic on the CPU front, as it mounts the Intel Core 5 120U, with 10 cores, 12 threads and a peak at a remarkable 5GHz. In this case, we also find 16GB of RAM but a smaller 256GB SSD, although still very fast. At €499, the blanket is short; it is necessary to choose what to reward based on individual needs. If more computing power is needed, the Acer, perhaps for frequent video editing, might be better; for ordinary use, it is probably better to reward the 512GB SSD.
