Acer Swift Spin 14 AI and Aspire Go 15: Windows and Snapdragon Processors for Every Budget
Acer has announced two new laptops based on Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms that expand its offerings in the AI PC segment and in Windows laptops aimed at everyday productivity. The new models are Swift Spin 14 AI, a premium convertible based on the Snapdragon X2 Elite or Snapdragon X2 Plus platform, and Aspire Go 15, Acer's first laptop equipped with the new Snapdragon C processor.
The new Acer Swift Spin 14 AI (SFSP14-Q51T) focuses on high performance, local AI acceleration, and maximum portability. The laptop integrates an NPU with 80 TOPS dedicated to multimodal and agent AI processing, a feature that enables the use of Copilot+ PC functionalities of Windows 11 directly on the device.
On the hardware front, Acer offers configurations with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 1 TB of SSD, while the integrated Adreno GPU supports DirectX 12.2 and ray tracing with hardware acceleration. The laptop also supports up to three external 4K monitors, making it suitable for advanced workstation setups.
One of the most interesting aspects concerns the declared autonomy. Acer claims up to 23 hours of video playback and up to 16.5 hours of web browsing. There is also fast charging via USB 4 Type-C up to 100 W.
For the Swift Spin 14 AI, Acer has integrated a convertible design with a 360-degree hinge, allowing use in notebook, presentation, or tablet mode. The 14-inch IPS touch display with WUXGA resolution supports input via fingers and the Acer Active Stylus 420, a stylus included that is compatible with Wacom AES 2.0 technology and features 4,096 levels of pressure along with tilt detection. Additionally, just 30 seconds of charging of the stylus provides about 100 minutes of use. The stylus fits directly inside the laptop’s chassis.
The new convertible maintains compact dimensions with a thickness ranging from 15.9 to 16.5 mm and a weight starting at 1.34 kg. The cobalt blue aluminum chassis also has MIL-STD-810H certification.
The specifications include dual USB Type-C ports, dual USB Type-A, and HDMI 2.1. On the connectivity front, it features Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and Bluetooth LE Audio. The 5 MP IR webcam supports Windows Hello, while Acer has integrated AI functions dedicated to videoconferencing such as Acer PurifiedView and Acer PurifiedVoice with AI-based noise cancellation. Audio is delivered through two speakers complemented by DTS Ultra Audio technology, while support for Snapdragon Sound optimizes audio for wireless headphones and earbuds.
Alongside the premium model, Acer also presented the new Aspire Go 15 (AG15-Q31P), a laptop intended for the mainstream segment. This is the company's first model based on the new Snapdragon C platform, designed to provide an optimal compromise between cost and performance for everyday tasks.
Aspire Go 15 offers configurations with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage, while the 15.6-inch display features thin bezels to increase the available viewing area. Connectivity includes dual full-function USB Type-C, HDMI, and support for Wi-Fi 6E.
Acer also emphasizes its commitment to sustainability: Aspire Go 15 uses 100% recyclable materials and components made from post-consumer recycled plastic. The laptop also holds Energy Star and EPEAT certifications.
Acer has confirmed that Swift Spin 14 AI will be available starting in October, while the release of Aspire Go 15 will be announced at a later date.
