Acer TravelMate P6 14 AI: under one kilogram, Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor with vPro, and up to 30 hours of battery life
Acer officially presented four new models from the TravelMate line, the range oriented toward the professional and business segment. The announcement took place in Taipei and introduces for the first time in Acer business laptops the new Intel Core Series 3 processors.
TravelMate P6 14 AI: the ultra-light flagship with Copilot+
The TravelMate P6 14 AI represents the pinnacle of the new lineup. It is a Copilot+ PC with Windows 11, powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with Intel vPro support, which provides the platform with an overall AI processing capability claimed to be up to 150 TOPS. The choice of form factor focuses heavily on portability: the casing is made of carbon fiber and magnesium-aluminum alloy, with a weight starting at 0.96 kg in the variant with a 14-inch OLED 3K WQXGA+ (2880x1800) display. The variant with a WUXGA IPS panel weighs 1.3 kg.
On the display front, Acer offers three configurations: a touch OLED panel with a resolution of 2880x1800 pixels featuring 100% DCI-P3 coverage, VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification, and Corning Gorilla Matte Pro glass with anti-reflective treatment; two IPS variants at 2880x1800 and 1920x1200, both non-touch, all with Variable Refresh Rate support. The 71 Wh battery with fast charging via Power Delivery is claimed to provide a maximum of 30 hours of autonomy in video playback testing on the WUXGA configuration, while the touch variant drops to 23.5 hours. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and Thunderbolt 4.
The security features align with enterprise implementation requirements: the Intel vPro platform integrates threat detection capabilities via hardware-level machine learning, operating without impacting the main CPU. The TravelMate P6 14 AI is classified as a Secured-core PC - an intrinsic requirement for every Windows 11 Copilot+ device - and adds Acer ProShield Plus software encryption, a physical shutter for the webcam, and optionally, an alert for unauthorized chassis opening. A discrete TPM module is standard.
For video communications, the 5-megapixel IR webcam is paired with Acer PurifiedView technology, featuring up to 4x digital zoom via the Acer Display Lens system, slow-motion for session review, and seamless QR code capture. Audio is managed by four speakers with DTS Virtual:X and a three-microphone array with AI noise reduction, supporting Advanced Privacy mode that physically disables the microphones.
Memory goes up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X; storage is on NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSDs up to 1 TB. The ports include two Thunderbolt 4 (which double as USB Type-C), two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, a microSD card reader, and a combined audio jack.
TravelMate P2 Spin 14: the 2-in-1 convertible with integrated stylus
The TravelMate P2 Spin 14 occupies the mid-range of the lineup with a convertible 360-degree form factor, aimed at organizations needing operational flexibility. The available processors belong to the Intel Core Series 3 family, with integrated NPU, including models Core 3 304, Core 5 315/320, and Core 7 350. Memory is DDR5 up to 16 GB, and storage NVMe PCIe Gen4 up to 1 TB.
The 14-inch display in 16:10 format with WUXGA resolution (1920×1200) is touch-enabled, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, and compatible with the Wacom AES 2.0 stylus, housed directly in the chassis. 360-degree hinges allow use in laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes. The camera setup features a dual webcam: a front-facing 5MP (optionally FHD) with IR for Windows Hello, and a rear-facing 5MP oriented outward, useful in remote collaboration scenarios for framing physical objects or handwritten documents.
Connectivity is upgraded to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. The battery is available in two capacities, 53 Wh (up to 15 claimed hours) or 65 Wh (up to 18.5 hours). The MIL-STD-810H certification attests to resistance to environmental stressors, while Acer DustDefender technology automatically reverses the fan rotation every six hours to expel dust from the cooling system.
TravelMate X2 15 and X2 14: Intel Core Series 3 for SMEs in clamshell format
The two X2 models complete the lineup with a proposition aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises that prioritize robustness, management simplicity, and low operating costs. Both are equipped with Intel Core Series 3 processors (Core 3 304, Core 5 320, Core 7 350) and are certified MIL-STD-810H.
The TravelMate X2 15 features a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920x1080) IPS display in a 16:9 format with a dedicated numeric keypad, weighs 1.5 kg, and is also available in a touch variant. The TravelMate X2 14 offers a 14-inch WUXGA IPS panel (1920x1200) in a 16:10 format, weighing 1.4 kg. Both include Full HD webcams, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity with Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C ports with USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB Type-A Gen 1, HDMI 2.1, and RJ-45.
The battery of the 15.6-inch model is 65 Wh with a claimed autonomy of 17.5 hours; the 14-inch model has a 53 Wh battery with 18.5 hours claimed in video testing. Both include a discrete TPM and Acer ProShield Plus, with fingerprint reader and anti-intrusion alarm available as options. The EPEAT certification (optional) and fully recyclable packaging meet the sustainability requirements demanded by some categories of public and corporate buyers in procurement bids.
