The memory crisis is felt: Samsung smartphones will cost more

The memory crisis may soon hit Samsung as well. After a good start to 2026, the Korean company now has to deal with rising component costs that could translate into a price increase for its smartphones, as confirmed by a new report. Samsung smartphones could cost up to €200 more (as a list price).

Samsung smartphones will cost more

The Korean company is expected to increase the prices of its smartphones starting in June. The rise should affect the Galaxy S models, including the FE versions, as well as the Galaxy Z models.

The amount of the price increase is not known but is expected to be between €100 and €200 (the source refers specifically to increases in the European market), with an actual value that will depend on the model and the amount of memory.

Samsung's decision should have a long-term impact: the company's smartphones are expected to gradually become more expensive, and even the upcoming Galaxy Z models set to be released in July may cost more.

As always, when it comes to Samsung, it's important to distinguish between list price and real price. The increase will concern the list price but, in turn, should also involve the street price, which should, therefore, rise by an amount between €100 and €200.

At the moment, there is no information about price increases for the Galaxy A models, which, especially for the A57, can already rely on a significant list price that brings them closer to the high-end Galaxy S models.
