The new Call of Duty of 2026 could be 'Modern Warfare 4' according to a leak
A new rumor related to Call of Duty 2026 is attracting the attention of the community, especially as it may confirm some previous leaks regarding the possible title of the game and its setting. A blurry image of the presumed cover of the next chapter in the series has been shared by the well-known leaker Billbil-kun, who is generally considered a reliable source in the video game industry.
According to what is shown, the cover seems to belong to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The image includes the game's title and three soldiers, but the detail that has attracted the most attention is a Korean symbol placed above the cover.
In the post published online, Billbil-kun wrote: "Here’s a 'non-fake' cover of one of the Activision games: ?". The symbol "?", according to machine translations, would represent the number four in Korean. Furthermore, the leaker encouraged users to read the description of the image, in which the phrase "intentionally blurred image for legal reasons" appears.
Further references to the 2026 chapter of Call of Duty
These references appear to be directly linked to the well-known leaker Ghost Of Hope, against whom Activision reportedly took legal action earlier this year to stop the spread of confidential information about future games in the series. Before the closing of his channels, Ghost Of Hope had indeed claimed that the next Call of Duty would be called Modern Warfare 4 and that the campaign would involve North and South Korea.
According to the article, the new teaser shared by Billbil-kun seems to reinforce the idea that those pieces of information were correct. However, there are still no official confirmations from Activision or Infinity Ward.
The eventual official presentation could occur during the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase 2026, scheduled for a few weeks from now. Last year, during the Summer Game Fest, Xbox closed the event showing Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, a revelation that generated rather lukewarm reactions from the audience.
