iPhone 18 Pro: the Component That Will Ensure a Quality Leap for the Camera Has Entered Production

The new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will introduce several innovations and will not be limited to launching a new color, attempting to replicate the success of the orange used in the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. One of the main innovations will concern the photographic sector which will see the introduction of a completely new element for Apple's smartphone range.

Variable Aperture Arrives

Apple's new smartphones will feature a variable aperture system for the main camera. This is a first for the iPhone range, and Apple aims to provide users with greater flexibility in usage. According to a new report, production of the components for the new system has already begun, in anticipation of the camera module production, manufactured by LG Innotek and scheduled for June and July.

Of course, Apple has not confirmed any details regarding the new variable aperture system, which, however, is set to be a central point in the technical specifications of the new iPhones. The company aims to achieve a qualitative leap from a photographic standpoint, and the variable aperture system for the rear camera could represent the right option.

Apple is also expected to implement new software functionalities to maximize the use of this new element and achieve the challenging goal of improving the quality of photos taken by its smartphones, which already reach very high qualitative levels today.

Further details will arrive in the coming weeks. We remind readers that the official presentation of the smartphones is scheduled for next month in September.
