Is the MacBook Neo Selling Well? Microsoft Tries Everything to Sell Windows Laptops to American Students
The MacBook Neo is registering very positive results, prompting Apple to increase production. At the moment, there are no precise figures regarding the performance of Apple’s new "low-cost" laptop. However, a move by Microsoft suggests that the Neo is causing significant issues for Windows notebooks in the same price range, which are already facing rising production costs due to the memory crisis.
A Super Promo
The company, currently only in the United States, has launched a new promo for students. By purchasing a qualifying laptop, students will be able to obtain a benefits package worth around $500.
American students who buy a Windows notebook will have access to one year of Microsoft 365 Premium, one year of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and even a custom Xbox controller.
Looking at the promo site, it is noticeable that the promotion is also available for notebooks in the same price range as the MacBook Neo. The benefits package (available until the end of June) could make a difference and provide significant support for the sales of Windows notebooks in the coming months, at least in the American market.
For now, there are no similar initiatives in Italy or other international markets. The MacBook Neo could pose a particularly relevant problem, especially in the American market, where Apple already has a very high market share. For this reason, Microsoft might choose to focus resources on launching promotions of this kind in the United States, sidelining other markets.
