Sky Wifi Enhances Coverage: New Agreement with FiberCop

Sky Wifi is a significant player in the fixed network connection sector. The Sky brand has carved out a leading role in the market and is now ready to take another leap forward, enhancing the coverage of its network. Thanks to a new agreement with FiberCop, Sky Wifi will reach over 90% of Italian households. It is worth noting that recently Sky also launched NOW WiFi.

Sky Wifi Reaches Almost Everywhere

Thanks to agreements with Open Fiber and Fastweb, over the years, Sky Wifi has become one of the reference brands in the home internet connection market, leveraging combined offers with Sky TV and, more recently, with Sky Mobile.

The new agreement with FiberCop allows the Sky brand to further enhance its coverage, reaching over 90% of households with its fiber optic network (FTTH) and, where this technology is not available, with mixed copper fiber (FTTC). Sky Wifi does not offer FWA and ADSL connections.

It is important to note that Sky already holds a 4% market share for fixed network accesses, according to data provided by the latest AGCOM Observatory. For FTTH fiber, it holds 5.9%, while mixed copper fiber sits at 5%. The partnership with FiberCop could enable the operator to make another significant leap, boosting network coverage and reaching a larger number of users, with the aim of capturing an even larger market share.
