Fuel Price Watch: the app that helps you avoid bleeding money for gasoline or diesel
Starting this afternoon, the new "Fuel Price Watch" app from the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) is available for free on iOS and Android devices. This tool is designed to provide citizens with straightforward and immediate information on fuel prices in their area. In a time of continuous price hikes at the pump, initiatives like this can make a small but significant difference.
Through the app, users can locate the nearest fuel station or compare prices to choose the most convenient one. The consultation is made more effective by displaying the average regional price and allowing users to compare it with the price charged by each station on the same day.
"The new application represents a further step forward in strengthening the market transparency tools for the benefit of consumers and competition," claims the Ministry.
In the initial phase of use, the Ministry encourages users to provide feedback on the accuracy of the data and the app's functionalities, in order to collect useful suggestions for progressively improving its effectiveness and the quality of the service offered.
