Apple Music Now Costs More: Price Increases for All Streaming Service Plans

Apple Music is raising its prices. Starting this week, Apple's streaming music service is undergoing a price adjustment with an increase in the monthly fee, which comes four years after the last increase. Apple has justified the hike by clarifying that it is related to the costs for content licenses that have become increasingly expensive for the company. The increase is immediate for new customers and will take effect at the next renewal for existing customers with an active subscription. For now, the price of Apple One, the subscription that includes various Apple services and also provides access to Apple Music, remains unchanged.

It’s worth noting that just under a month ago, Apple increased the prices of its products by up to 30%, without, however, changing the price list of iPhones (for now).

New Prices for Apple Music in Italy

The Individual plan for Apple Music now costs €11.99 per month, an increase of €1 compared to the previous version. As for the Student plan, the cost rises from €5.99 to €6.99 per month. The Family plan also sees an increase of €3 per month, now costing €19.99 per month.

Despite the increase, Apple Music continues to be a reference service within the Cupertino company's ecosystem, effectively adjusting its pricing to match that of Spotify, with the goal of continuing to grow and become, increasingly, the best alternative to the industry-leading service.
