As confirmed by Reuters, the Chinese internet content regulation authority, the Cyberspace Administration of China, has approved Apple's AI services. However, this approval is contingent on the integration of Qwen, Alibaba's AI model, which will be integrated into iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS. Additionally, as confirmed by Techcrunch, Baidu is collaborating with Apple to develop functionalities of Apple Intelligence for Chinese users. Rumors also anticipate a possible integration with the AIs of DeepSeek and ByteDance.

It will be a completely different version of Apple Intelligence, with the Cupertino company following a much softer approach (especially regarding privacy) for its services aimed at Chinese users.
