The new iPad Mini could disappoint: only 60 Hz for the OLED display?
Among the upcoming news from Apple is a new generation of iPad Mini, set to debut with an OLED display. Recent information has emerged regarding Apple's choices, some of which may spark debate as they seem too conservative. However, it's worth noting that the company must contend with rising memory costs, which have recently led to price increases for the iPad lineup as well as for several other devices.
What the new iPad Mini will be like
From the available information, it appears that Apple has opted for an LTPS OLED panel for its new iPad Mini. This panel is expected to have a maximum refresh rate of 60 Hz, similar to the current iPad Mini, which, however, uses an LCD panel. The display is expected to feature a diagonal size of 8.7 inches.
Details about the new tablet are still limited. If the display choice is confirmed, it will clarify the positioning of the tablet, which will be offered at a significantly lower price than the Pro models. At the moment, there is no confirmation regarding the display, which could be the new A20 or the A19 Pro used in the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max.
Apple's new tablet is expected to debut in the coming months, with a launch that could take place this fall, between October and November.
