The new HONOR Robot Phone is close to debut, technical specifications confirmed
HONOR continues to innovate, aiming to become increasingly a benchmark in the smartphone market. The next innovation from the company is represented by the Robot Phone, the "production version" of the prototype presented during the Mobile World Congress 2026. During the presentation, HONOR had anticipated the arrival of the model by the end of the year. According to recent information, the launch could be very close.
The new Robot Phone is about to arrive
The smartphone from HONOR is expected to debut in August 2026, at least for the Chinese market. However, there could also be room for a European launch in the future.
HONOR described the project of the Robot Phone during an interview given to Hardware Upgrade on the sidelines of the presentation event at MWC, which you can watch below.
The highlight of the technical specifications will be the main camera, featuring a 200 MP sensor with an f/1.6 aperture, as well as a 4K gimbal stabilization system. This sensor will be accompanied by a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor.
Among the technical specifications, we also find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, along with a 6.3-6.4 inch AMOLED display and a 6,000 mAh battery. The battery capacity is lower compared to other top-of-the-line models from HONOR due to the presence of the gimbal system, which forced HONOR to revise the internal structure of the smartphone. For the definitive details, we will just have to wait for the coming weeks.
