Cooler Master V8 ACE 3DHP: available the coldest single-tower cooler ever

Cooler Master has finally released the new V8 ACE 3DHP, a single tower cooler intended for high TDP processors that we saw at the last CES. The new model introduces proprietary technology 3D Heat Pipe to the consumer market and promises performance comparable to dual tower coolers, with a more compact footprint and better compatibility with memory modules.

According to the company's statements, the Cooler Master V8 ACE 3DHP represents the new flagship model of the air cooling range and has been designed for workstations, high-end gaming systems, 3D rendering, video export, and workloads dedicated to training artificial intelligence models.

From a technical standpoint, the cooler uses a hybrid configuration consisting of two 3DHP heat pipes and four traditional heat pipes, paired with a dense aluminum fin stack. The goal is to increase the efficiency of heat transfer from the CPU, thus maintaining temperatures even during prolonged loads without resorting to a dual tower design.

The dimensions are still generous: we are talking about 138.95 x 136.47 x 167.3 mm, while the net weight is 1,334 grams. Cooler Master also emphasizes that the single tower format avoids some of the typical compromises of bulkier solutions, especially regarding available space around the RAM slots.

The ventilation system utilizes two 120 x 120 x 30 mm PWM fans made of Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP), a material chosen to limit blade flex at higher speeds. The front fan operates up to 2,500 (±250 RPM), develops a maximum airflow of 152.23 m³/h (89.6 CFM), and a static pressure of 3.85 mmH2O, with a maximum noise level of 37 dB(A). The rear fan reaches 2,050 (±250 RPM), offers a flow of 103.64 m³/h (61 CFM), and a static pressure of 2.0 mmH2O, with a peak of 34 dB(A). The overall system noise is around 38 dB(A).

Both fans incorporate a Loop Dynamic Bearing, a solution that ensures a claimed longevity of over 200,000 hours of MTTF. The cooler also features a tool-free mechanism that allows the front fan to slide sideways without removing brackets or metal supports, thus facilitating installation and providing full access to memory modules with large heat spreaders.

Another distinguishing element concerns the mounting system. Cooler Master indeed offers dedicated versions for Intel and AMD platforms, with specific metal brackets. The Intel model supports sockets LGA 1851, LGA 1700, LGA 1200, LGA 1151, LGA 1150, LGA 1155, and LGA 1156, while the AMD variant is compatible with AM5 and AM4.

The company has also shared the results obtained in independent tests by Cybenetics. At the time of the press release, the V8 ACE 3DHP holds the first position among single tower coolers and second place overall in the air coolers ranking, with the AMD variant surpassing all the single tower models analyzed by the lab so far.

On the aesthetic side, the device takes the shape of a V8 engine through an industrial design devoid of LED lighting. Cooler Master also provides a six-year warranty. The new V8 ACE 3DHP is already available in black and white at a recommended price of 109 euros.
