Xbox Game Pass Essential: 5 New Games Arrive in the Budget Catalog

There's a period of great changes at Xbox, as confirmed by the recent wave of layoffs just announced. The future of Microsoft's gaming division also holds room for a new strategy for Game Pass. A first sign in this direction comes from the update of the Game Pass Essential catalog, the lowest tier of the new subscription scheme that receives few content updates. The service now features five new titles.

New Games for Game Pass Essential

The catalog for the access version of Game Pass expands with these 5 new titles:

• Full Throttle Remastered
• Costume Quest 2
• Shadowrun: Returns
• Shadowrun: Dragonfall
• Shadowrun: Hong Kong

This, clearly, is not a surprising development. The subscription, which costs 8.99 euros per month, has a reduced catalog and receives few updates. Consequently, the arrival of new titles is noteworthy, with Microsoft potentially looking to attract new users specifically by promoting the more economical version of its Game Pass.
