Redmi Note 17 on the verge of debut, but will have to wait in Europe
Xiaomi is preparing to update its mid-range smartphone offering with the launch of the Redmi Note 17 series, which will debut in July 2026.
The launch has been teased with an official announcement and will, as usual, concern the Chinese market where several variants are expected to debut. For Europe, however, it will be necessary to wait a few more months, with Xiaomi continuing its strategy of delayed launches for many of its products in Europe. Here are the complete details.
A new generation of mid-range phones
The new Redmi Note 17 will take over from the Redmi Note 15 series models, with Xiaomi "skipping" the 16 series as it has done with other product lines, such as the flagship Xiaomi 17 and the more recent Xiaomi 17T.
For now, information on the new Redmi Note 17 is limited. Among the new offerings, there should be the Redmi Note 17 5G with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip and a 9,000 mAh battery. Positioned at the higher end of the market will be the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G featuring a Dimensity 7500 chip, a 10,000 mAh battery, and a main camera of 200 MP. There will also be room for 4G variants and a possible Pro Max version.
These specifications may change for the European market versions of Xiaomi's new mid-range offerings, particularly regarding battery capacity. All details will arrive in the coming weeks.
