Small Outside, Huge Inside: the new CORSAIR 2800X is an Extreme Micro-ATX

Corsair has unveiled the new 2800X RS-R ARGB, a Micro-ATX case designed to provide compact dimensions without sacrificing compatibility with high-end components. Available in white and black, the new model continues the philosophy of the 3500X, but in a more compact format.

One of the most interesting aspects concerns the internal space. The case offers 410 mm for the graphics card, a size that allows for the installation of even extreme custom GPUs. In terms of cooling, there is room for a radiator up to 360 mm at the top, while the chassis provides space for a total of 10 120 mm fans , a typical configuration for larger chassis.

The case comes with three PWM RS120-R ARGB reverse rotor fans , installed on the inner side of the side panel. This configuration allows for fresh air to be drawn directly from the outside. The fans use a magnetic dome bearing , a solution aimed at ensuring quiet operation and high performance.

Connection is made through a single 4-pin PWM cable and +5V ARGB, simplifying the management of both speed and lighting. The design also enhances the aesthetics of the setup with tempered glass front and side panels, allowing complete visibility of the installed hardware.

Corsair has ensured compatibility with the latest back-connection motherboards from ASUS, MSI, and GIGABYTE, a feature that helps minimize the presence of cables in the visible part of the system. Additionally, there is an integrated adjustable support dedicated to the GPU, designed to limit GPU bending and reduce stress on the PCI Express slot.

For cable management and routing, Corsair has placed three dedicated Velcro straps , while a plate located behind the motherboard allows for the installation of two SSDs or one HDD , thus managing storage space according to your needs and preferences.

In terms of connectivity, the top I/O panel integrates a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port with speeds up to 5 Gb/s and a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port capable of reaching transfers up to 20 Gb/s .

The new Corsair 2800X RS-R ARGB is already available on the company's official store. For the European market, the launch price is set at €79.90 and is accompanied by a two-year warranty.
