Onimusha: Way of the Sword Will Not Be Delayed, Competition Does Not Scare Capcom

Capcom is experiencing a very positive period, following the success of its latest productions. Another very interesting title is about to launch, Onimusha: Way of the Sword. The game will hit the market during a crowded period, with the release set for September 25. However, Capcom has no intention of changing its plans, and even the opening of pre-orders for GTA 6 has not changed their mind.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword will arrive on schedule. The proximity of GTA 6's release, which is expected to become the biggest commercial success of the gaming industry this year (and not only), along with other fall releases, does not intimidate Capcom. Producer Akihito Kadowaki clarified that Onimusha: Way of the Sword will not be postponed. The game will arrive as scheduled, with the software house not intending to change its strategy.

Plans are now final, and unlike other software houses, Capcom is not afraid of the GTA 6 effect, which will be available in November, about two months after the release of Onimusha: Way of the Sword. The game is ready, and there is no reason to change the ongoing plans. The appointment with the new chapter of the series is therefore set for next September.

Let’s remember that the game will be multiplatform and will be available on PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X and Series S, as well as on Windows PC and Nintendo Switch 2. Users will thus have the opportunity to choose their desired platform to play the title in the best possible conditions.
