OnePlus Launches Its Entry-Level N6: 8,000 mAh Battery but Only 4 GB of RAM and Limited Software Support
As previously anticipated, OnePlus has updated its smartphone lineup with the launch of a new entry-level model. This is the OnePlus N6, a model that inaugurates the N series with which the brand will try to increase its presence in the low-end market, starting from India. For now, the new product will not arrive in Europe, where the brand is experiencing a period of downsizing that has led to a drastic reduction in new products coming.
Specifications of the New OnePlus N6
The new OnePlus N6 is equipped with the following technical specifications:
- 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz
- MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex SoC at 6 nm
- 4/6 GB of RAM
- 128 GB of storage
- 8,000 mAh battery with 45 W fast charging
- IP65 certification
- Dual SIM support
- 50 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera
- Android 16 operating system
The most interesting fact is undoubtedly the battery capacity which, according to OnePlus, will retain over 80% of its capacity after 7 years of use. Unfortunately, however, the smartphone will receive only 2 major updates and will have only 3 years of security patches. As a result, users who use it for 7 years will have an outdated product for as much as 4 years. Regarding the price, the base version, with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, of the OnePlus N6 will hit the market at a price that, at the current exchange rate, is approximately 210 euros.
