The new OPPO Reno 16 and 16 Pro arrive in Europe: scaled-down specifications and almost high-end prices
OPPO expands the international availability of the new Reno16 series with the global debut of Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro, ready to carve out a space even in Italy.
However, compared to the versions launched in China, the two smartphones arrive in a "global" version with some technical differences that will make the smartphones less appealing.
What changes for the new Reno 16
The versions destined for the global market and, in particular, for Europe of OPPO's new smartphones present some differences compared to the Chinese versions.
For the Reno 16 Pro, for example, there is no Dimensity 9500s but the less powerful Dimensity 8550 Super. The battery is also not the same, with a capacity reduced from 7,000 mAh to 6,700 mAh, but the 80 W fast charging remains. The refresh rate of the AMOLED panel also changes, going from 120 Hz to 144 Hz. The smartphone will be distributed in a single variant, with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
For the Reno 16, on the other hand, there is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC supported by 8 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of storage, while the battery drops from 6,700 mAh to 6,000 mAh.
