OnePlus Unaffected by Memory Crisis: New Version of 15R Features Increased RAM

The memory crisis is putting smartphone manufacturers to the test, facing a substantial increase in component costs. In a stark contrast to the rest of the market, OnePlus has decided to launch a new version of its OnePlus 15R, a high-end smartphone that has been available in Italy since the end of last year (here's the review from Hardware Upgrade).

This version offers an increased amount of RAM and costs slightly more than the one with 12 GB of RAM.

More RAM for the OnePlus Model

The OnePlus 15R is an excellent choice as an alternative to flagship models, provided that users accept some compromises on the camera aspect. The smartphone, in fact, features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and a 7,400 mAh battery, ensuring an excellent mix of performance and battery life.

For users in India, starting this week, the OnePlus 15R offers a greater amount of RAM with the launch of the new version sporting 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. This version is sold at a cost of 61,999 rupees, approximately 575 euros, with an additional cost of 2,199 rupees, just over 20 euros, compared to the 12/512 GB version, which is also available in Europe.

As we have seen in recent months, OnePlus is not launching new products in Europe (likely due to a restructuring/reducing program of its operations). Therefore, this new variant of the 15R might remain exclusive to certain non-European markets and not make it to the European market. We will know more soon.
