Future iPhone 18 Pro Models Could Cost Much More Than the 17 Pro: Some Estimates Anticipate Prices

The new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, set to be released in September 2026, are expected to hit the market with a higher price compared to the current iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. A new survey predicts this scenario, taking into account the rising costs of memory. It is worth noting that Apple is also working on the new iPhone Ultra.

How Much Will the New iPhone 18 Pro Cost?

The memory crisis will also impact the prices of the iPhones, as confirmed by a new report that clarifies the options available to the Cupertino company.

For the iPhone 17 Pro, for example, Apple pays $39 for 12 GB of RAM and $13 for 256 GB of internal memory. In contrast, an iPhone 18 Pro will require an expenditure of $145 for the 12 GB of RAM and $51 for the internal memory.

Regarding the overall component cost, an iPhone 17 Pro costs Apple $582 while an iPhone 18 Pro will cost $726.

To maintain the same profit margin (47%), Apple will have to set the retail price at $1,371 for its new smartphone compared to $1,099 for the 17 Pro. Considering also the new camera module with a variable aperture sensor (which is more expensive), there could be an additional increase, bringing the price to $1,399.

This is the US price of a 512 GB iPhone 17 Pro Max. Considering the exchange rate to euros and the current Italian prices, the iPhone 18 Pro with 256 GB could cost €1,739 compared to the current €1,339. The increases would also concern variants with more storage and the Pro Max versions.

For now, these are just estimates. Apple likely has not yet made a definitive decision on the prices of its iPhone 18 and may choose to reduce margins to avoid excessive price hikes.
