Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Reaches Gold Phase: All Set for Debut

Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has officially entered the Gold phase, confirming that the game's development is complete and that the project is proceeding according to plans ahead of its release scheduled for July 9 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. With the achievement of this important milestone, the software is now being sent to Sony and Microsoft for the necessary certification procedures before publication.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is the remake of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, one of the most appreciated chapters in the series, originally released in 2013 on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Nintendo Wii U. The story follows the adventures of Edward Kenway, a pirate who finds himself caught up in the historical struggle between Assassins and Templars during the so-called Golden Age of Piracy. Throughout the campaign, famous historical figures, including the legendary Edward 'Blackbeard' Teach, make their appearance.

In addition to reaching the gold phase, one of the major aspects revised is the parkour system, which required significant reconstruction work. The team has updated the collision systems and adapted many mechanics to integrate new movement possibilities. One of the most relevant new features is the introduction of the ability to crouch, a feature absent in the original game that required modifications to various aspects of level design and environmental interaction.

Despite these updates, Ubisoft reiterated that the primary goal has been to preserve the identity of the original work. Creative Director Paul Fu emphasized that Black Flag Resynced remains a classic Assassin's Creed in traditional style. The game will not introduce dialogue choices or role-playing game mechanics, maintaining the action-adventure structure that characterized the 2013 chapter.

To ensure the maximum fidelity to the spirit of the original, the team followed guidelines shared with Jean Guesdon, the historical creative director of Black Flag. Among the most significant changes confirmed for this new version is the complete removal of present-day sequences, focusing the experience exclusively on Edward Kenway's adventure.
