The first quarter of 2026 has closed with growing shipments for the smartwatch market, as confirmed by data from Counterpoint. Leading the market is Apple, the protagonist of a very positive first quarter, with numbers showing significant growth. Here are the complete data for the first three months of the year.
Q1 2026 Data
Smartwatch shipments increased by 4% during the first quarter of 2026, with a decisive contribution from Apple. For the Cupertino company, shipments marked a 21% increase year-over-year. This result translates into a 3-point increase in market share, reaching up to 23%.
More than half of the Apple Watches sold were distributed in North America. The results in the smartwatch segment may also be linked to the strong growth recorded by iPhones in recent months.
An excellent performance was also noted for Huawei, which grew to a 17% market share, with a 12% increase in shipments year-over-year. Huawei dominates the Chinese market, with a market share of about 40%. Third place goes to Xiaomi, with a 10% market share and a 9% increase in shipments.
Completing the Top 5 are Imoo and Samsung. The South Korean company registers a significant drop, with shipments down 28%. Other manufacturers account for 38% of total sales, highlighting a very fragmented market. In this case, shipments are down by 3%.
