XPeng P7+ Arrives in Italy: Chinese but Produced in Europe, Tons of Technology and Free Charging

XPeng brings to the Italian market the P7+, a 100% electric fastback that showcases artificial intelligence in both design and onboard architecture. Assembled in Graz at the Magna Steyr facilities—just like the G6 and G9 SUVs already available in Italy—it represents the third XPeng vehicle produced in Europe.

Range, Trims, and Prices

The P7+ is available in three versions, with prices starting at €46,170. The base configuration, RWD Standard Range, features a 61.7 kWh LFP battery with an 800 V architecture and claims a WLTP range of up to 455 km, priced at €46,170. For those aiming for longer distances, the RWD Long Range variant, which comes with a 74.9 kWh LFP battery, extends the range to 530 km WLTP, priced at €52,170. At the top of the range is the AWD Performance model with dual motors and all-wheel drive, offering a total power output of 370 kW/503 hp, a 74.9 kWh battery, WLTP range of up to 500 km, and a price of €57,170. Across the XPeng range, there is a robust warranty package: 5 years/120,000 km on the vehicle, including 5 years of roadside assistance, and 8 years/160,000 km on the traction battery. Notably, there is also a partnership with Electrip, which provides 3,020 kWh of free charging and a 15% discount on rates for five years for all models registered in 2026.

Technology and Charging

The technological heart of the P7+ revolves around the proprietary AI Turing chip, capable of 750 TOPS of computational power, supporting both driving functions and future upgrades via OTA updates. On the energy front, the real strong point is the ultra-fast charging 5C: at compatible high-power charging stations, the battery charges from 10% to 80% in about 12 minutes, significantly alleviating range anxiety on long journeys. The suspension system—featuring a double-wishbone front and a five-link multilink rear—is designed to ensure comfort and precision on all types of terrain.

Interior, Space, and Soundproofing

The interior of the P7+ is one of its most concrete strengths: the cargo space starts at 573 liters in the 5-seat configuration and goes up to 1,931 liters with two seats occupied, placing it in direct competition with segment SUVs. The seats in the Long Range and AWD Performance versions are covered in perforated Nappa leather, while the headliner uses cashmere-inspired microfiber. Particular attention has also been paid to soundproofing, with 62 acoustic intervention points—26 sound-insulating materials and 36 sound-absorbing materials—for a ride silence worthy of reference premium sedans. The dashboard integrates three displays coordinated by AI: a central 15.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a W-HUD system on the windshield for head-up displayed information.

Active and Passive Safety

In terms of safety, the P7+ comes standard with the XPILOT 2.5 ADAS system, based on high-precision radar and cameras, featuring a package of 14 active safety technologies for risk detection, lane keeping, progressive lane changes, and assisted parking maneuvers. The passive structure is equally well-designed: the chassis uses ultra-high-strength steel rated at 2,000 MPa, while the battery pack is protected by a multi-level anti-collision safety system. A combination of solutions that positions the P7+ as a mature and comprehensive offering for those seeking a technologically rich electric vehicle without compromising structural safety.
