WINDTRE Raises Prices Again: Sixth Adjustment in the Last Year for Fixed-Line Customers
Summer is traditionally a period of adjustments for telecommunications operators in Italy. WINDTRE is no exception, as it has just announced a new price increase for a selected group of fixed-line customers. Starting from September 1, 2026, those customers who receive notice of a unilateral change to their contractual conditions will see an increase in their monthly fee.
This is the sixth wave of adjustments that the operator has announced over the past year for its fixed-line customers. Let's summarize all the details regarding this new price increase. It's worth noting that WINDTRE has recently announced a new plan to phase out ADSL.
Price Increase for WINDTRE Fixed-Line Customers
The new adjustment, effective September 1, 2026, entails a €2 increase per month in the fee. Consequently, customers who accept the change will incur an additional €24 in annual expenses. Essentially, this is one more monthly fee (give or take a euro).
As usual, customers can exercise their right of withdrawal, following the methods and timelines indicated in the communication from the operator regarding the change in contractual conditions. This allows them to avoid the increases by switching to another operator or deactivating their line, without any exit fees.
WINDTRE has justified the increases by explaining that the change comes "following the newly arisen need to modify the positioning of the offer and with the necessity to allow WINDTRE to continue providing service levels in line with the increasing demands of the market."
