Wired Earbuds Make a Comeback: Teufel MOVE 2 Tries in the USB-C Smartphone Era

Teufel has expanded its offering of in-ear headphones with the new MOVE 2, a wired model that updates the previous generation by introducing USB-C connectivity and a series of features designed to adapt a traditional format to the needs of the modern ecosystem.

The German company links the launch to a phenomenon that has been gaining visibility in recent months: the return of wired earbuds. With aesthetic nods to the early 2000s and a growing focus on immediate devices to use, without batteries to recharge or wireless connections to configure, the segment is experiencing a new phase of interest.

From a technical perspective, MOVE 2 utilizes 9.1 mm Linear HD drivers, maintaining what Teufel defines as its sound signature, already present in the previous model. The goal is to provide natural and detailed reproduction, with balanced bass, soft mids, and precise high frequencies.

Teufel launches new wired earbuds: here's MOVE 2. Notably, this new model includes an integrated USB-C Digital Audio SoundCard 2.0, a solution that allows signal processing directly within the earbuds without the need for external adapters or DACs. According to Teufel, this approach maintains high output levels and clean reproduction. The USB-C connection also makes the earbuds immediately usable in plug & play mode with a wide range of devices. Declared compatibility includes smartphones, notebooks, Windows PCs, Macs, tablets, and portable gaming platforms like Steam Deck.

The complete absence of wireless components is another key feature of the product. No Bluetooth pairing procedures are required, and there is no issue with remaining battery life, aspects Teufel still considers relevant for some users. The cable features an in-line remote that allows controlling music playback, volume, calls, and voice assistants. An integrated microphone is also present, designed to ensure high intelligibility during calls and video conferences.

Regarding ergonomics, MOVE 2 adopts a flexible 1.30-meter cable and includes four sets of interchangeable antibacterial silicone ear tips. Teufel also emphasizes the lightweight nature of the product and a design aimed at maintaining comfort even during prolonged use or for those who regularly wear glasses.

The new Teufel MOVE 2 are already available on the Italian market at a suggested retail price of €29.99.
