WhatsApp Introduces Multi-Account Support for iOS
Good news for iPhone users: with the update currently being rolled out, WhatsApp introduces multi-account support for the messaging service app on iOS. This feature was announced back last March and allows app users to utilize two different WhatsApp accounts on the same smartphone without resorting to WhatsApp Business.
This is an important new feature that represents another step forward in the growth of the messaging application, which is becoming an increasingly essential reference point for users. Here are the details on how the new system works.
Multi-Account is Coming to iOS
Each account has its own history, notifications, and settings. The management is completely separate, similar to what happens on Instagram. Switching from one account to another can occur quickly.
The introduction of multi-account support for WhatsApp on iOS is available with the update to version 26.22.76 of the app. Those who have not yet received the update can check its availability on the App Store or wait for the update to arrive (which should be available shortly).
How to Use It
To add a second account, simply access the settings of WhatsApp, press on Add Account, and follow the guided procedure. It's worth noting that the second account can also be set up as a connected device, without needing to activate it as the primary device. The account switch, on the other hand, is available in the Account section. For now, the app supports a maximum of two accounts.
Further details regarding this will arrive shortly.
