Pebble Round 2 Delayed to July: Here's the Issue That Halted Production

Deliveries of Pebble Round 2 have been delayed by about two months. Eric Migicovsky confirmed this week that the start of deliveries for those who pre-ordered the device is expected in July 2026, with completion of the entire batch scheduled for September. The original timeline, announced in January, aimed for May.

This is a technical delay: the last production sample had a cosmetic defect near the strap lugs, originating from a CNC milling step in the connection area between strap and case. Migicovsky stated that Pebble is addressing this by modifying the metal-injection-moulding tooling to eliminate that CNC cut from the processing sequence. A process correction sufficient to extend the timeline before shipping begins.

Status of the Pebble Lineup

The delay only affects the round model. The Pebble Time 2, the rectangular sibling of the lineup, has already reached those who placed pre-orders, while the Pebble Index, the third announced model, still does not have a set shipping date.
In the meantime, Round 2 has entered the beta testing phase, with applications open to US users. Migicovsky also confirmed that black and brown leather straps will be available as additional accessories. The device is priced at $199 and features a 1.3-inch color e-paper display with a claimed battery life of about two weeks.
