Bloober Team continues to expand its catalog of horror productions by announcing a new project set in the Star Trek universe. The Polish studio, already engaged with Cronos: The New Dawn, the remake of the first Silent Hill, and Layers of Fear 3, has unveiled Star Trek: Shadow Frontier, a sci-fi adventure with strong elements of psychological horror expected to be released in 2027.

The game will put players in the role of Ro Laren, a Bajoran officer known to fans of the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation, and who recently returned in Star Trek: Picard. The character will once again be voiced and visually represented by actress Michelle Forbes, who previously participated in the world of video games by portraying Dr. Judith Mossman in the Half-Life saga.

The plot revolves around a rescue mission on a planet now under the control of a mysterious alien entity. What initially seems like a routine operation quickly transforms into a disturbing journey, during which Ro Laren must confront an increasingly unstable reality and memories that begin to distort in unpredictable ways.
