The 12 GB RTX 3060 Returns to the Market: The Bestselling GPU Restarts from China (and Costs More Than Before)

The memory crisis has an unexpected effect: a new report confirms the return to stores of the 12 GB RTX 3060, a very popular graphics card (especially due to its memory capacity) up until a few years ago. This news is not surprising, as several rumors in recent weeks had already hinted at NVIDIA's plans to bring the Ampere architecture-based card back to the market. The RTX 3060 is still a widespread card: as confirmed by the latest Steam hardware survey, this model is currently the most popular GPU among users of the platform.

Starting from China

The RTX 3060 may have returned to the market in China thanks to the manufacturer Colorful, which has shipped its Battle Axe RTX 3060 Duo 12GB V2 to several local stores and has also added the card to its official site, with availability starting from June 5. Essentially, the return of the card to the market has already begun.

The launch price, at the current exchange rate, is approximately $347, just under 300 euros. It is worth noting that the original MSRP of the card was $329. Initially, availability will be very limited, but new stock should become available over the coming weeks. At the moment, however, there is no official information regarding this.

In the near future, the RTX 3060, potentially with the support of other manufacturers, could reach new markets, expanding its market presence for a more global return, aiming to compensate for the struggles of the RTX line amid the memory crisis.
