Samsung Plans to Launch Three New Galaxy Watches
During the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for this summer, Samsung will present several new models. In addition to the new Galaxy Z devices, the Korean company will also focus on updating its range of smartwatches.
In particular, according to the latest online rumors linked to some "traces" identified by Android Authority in the Wear OS app, three new Galaxy Watches might be on the way.
Three Smartwatches for Samsung
Samsung is expected to unveil three new smartwatches. The source has identified the existence of models named fresh9, wise9, and projectv2, which are likely to correspond to the Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch 9 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
So, no revolution here, but just a confirmation of Samsung's intention to continue updating its range by focusing on various segments of the smartwatch market, with the goal of fully meeting users' needs.
Naturally, the upcoming smartwatches are expected to be made in multiple variants. For instance, Samsung is likely to continue offering a 40mm version and a 44mm version (both available with a data connectivity variant) for the Watch 9. It is also noteworthy that the Watch 9 and 9 Classic are expected to continue using the Exynos W1000 chip, while the Ultra 2 might adopt Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear Elite.
We remind you that the Unpacked event is expected to be scheduled for the second half of July, and consequently, the new products announced (including the smartwatches) should hit the market as early as August. For the Galaxy Watches, as is tradition, Samsung may create some bundles with the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z smartphones (including the next generation of foldables).
