From a power perspective, the HillMiles MileCity1 features a 250W brushless motor in the rear wheel hub, a hub motor configuration compliant with European regulation EN 15194 with an assistance limit of 25 km/h. The bike integrates a pedaling sensor that adjusts assistance across 5 levels: lighter use to maximize range on flat terrain, higher levels to tackle climbs with reduced effort.

Extended range is ensured by a 36V / 13Ah (468 Wh) lithium-ion battery, above the average for similar models (which often stop at 36V / 10.4Ah, 374 Wh). In pedal-assisted mode, the claimed range is between 80 and 100 km, varying based on the cyclist's weight, slope, wind, and selected assistance level. The battery is fully removable with a supplied key and can be charged directly at home, in the office, or any outlet, without having to bring the bike close to the cable.

The wheels are 26" with narrower road tires, less resistant to rolling compared to MTB tires and therefore more energy-efficient. The drivetrain uses a 7-speed Shimano gear, sufficient to handle variable slopes in urban and suburban paths. Braking is entrusted to a double mechanical disc brake on both wheels, offering greater power and consistency even in wet conditions compared to V-brakes.
