Spotify also focuses on AI: users will be able to create personalized podcasts

Spotify continues to grow and is working on integrating artificial intelligence into its ecosystem of services. The latest innovation in this regard is called Studio, a standalone application (currently available only on desktop) designed for audio content generation. This project comes shortly after the agreement with Universal Music Group that will allow users of the streaming platform to use AI to create covers and remixes of songs.

An AI app from Spotify

The app in question is capable of understanding user preferences, thanks to the history of music and podcasts listened to via the user’s Spotify account and, with the appropriate permissions, can connect to email, calendar, and notes. Studio can therefore be used for creating personalized podcasts, based on information linked to the user’s account, data that can be retrieved online, and a prompt provided, which will include the guidelines to follow for content creation.

More generally, Spotify Studio allows the creation of a private daily newsletter, a playlist for a trip, or even a podcast on a specific theme. The service is interactive and allows the user to refine the final product by modifying requests and adapting content to current needs. All generated content is saved within the Spotify library of the user's account and will be directly playable from the application.

The new Spotify application will be released in the coming weeks and will be accessible, for now, only to a selected group of adult users and markets (more than 20). However, an expansion of the service is expected in the near future.
