007 First Light: IO Interactive Releases 4K 200 fps Requirements

IO Interactive Updates Requirements for 007 First Light

IO Interactive has updated the requirements for 007 First Light on PC, which might represent the final revision before the game's debut. After previous changes related to minimum and recommended configurations, the team has now published a more comprehensive framework that also includes dedicated profiles for playing in 1440p at 60 FPS and 4K at 60 FPS.

Interestingly, IO Interactive has also published the requirements for those who wish to exceed 200 fps in 4K. However, in that case, it seems that NVIDIA's DLSS is a mandatory requirement, meaning that extreme framerate is reserved only for users of Team Green.

While the possibility of removing framerate limits has been confirmed—inevitable to ensure compatibility with extreme refresh rates—there will still be some absences on day one. In fact, IOI has confirmed that path tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction will be integrated later during the summer.

In any case, the base requirements are 1080p resolution at 30 fps. For this, at least an Intel Core i5-9500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500 CPU along with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 GPU will be necessary. If one wants to reach 60 fps, at least a Core i5-13500 or Ryzen 5 7600 combined with a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6700 will be required.

For 1440p at 60 fps, the CPU remains unchanged, but in the case of the GPU, it changes to a GeForce RTX 4070 or Radeon RX 7800 XT. Finally, for those seeking maximum quality—namely 60 fps in 4K—they will need robust hardware: again, the CPUs remain the same, but the graphics cards must be at least a GeForce RTX 4080 or a Radeon RX 7900XTX.

All modes share the same requirements in terms of RAM and storage: 16 GB for the first and at least 80 GB of free space. The only exception is for those wanting to exceed 200 fps, who will need 32 GB of system memory.

Alongside purely performance aspects, the team has also paid attention to accessibility. 007 First Light will indeed include dedicated audio profiles, customizable subtitles, full remapping of controls, sensitivity adjustments, and dead zone settings for controllers, in addition to a feature that allows the automatic completion of quick time events.

We remind you that 007 First Light will be available starting from the next May 27 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
