Sale of ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 OMNI Gen2 and DREAME L10s Ultra Gen 3 on Amazon: €349 or €399, here are the differences

Those looking for a cleaning robot today are navigating through a real jungle of offers, brands, and models. A solid trend is this: after a while post-launch, prices drop significantly, because the renewal rate in the sector is definitely frantic. Often with minimal differences between one generation and another. This is why the ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 OMNI Gen2 and DREAME L10s Ultra Gen 3 robots that we find today on Amazon are extremely interesting: both are quite recent and have dropped in price like never before. We are talking about models with powerful suction, 21000Pa-25000Pa, a highly automated station, and excellent reviews from those who already own them, all priced at €349 or €399 today. We will point out the differences to consider between the two, then it will be up to you to choose. First, let's look at the offers.

Important Premise to Avoid Confusion:

The ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 OMNI Gen2 model has a near twin, the ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 PRO OMNI Gen2, which has PRO in its name. Differences only lie in improved AI for obstacle avoidance, more advanced capabilities, and little else. The one we discuss in this article is the NON-PRO version.

Suction and Autonomy

The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 mainly focuses on “brute strength”: it has very powerful suction (25000Pa vs. 21000Pa), long autonomy, and a very complete station. It is designed for those with large homes, possibly with several carpets and/or pets. In general, it collects more heavy dirt and hair compared to the ECOVACS Deebot T50 Omni Gen 2, but it is also a bigger and less agile robot, which we'll discuss now.

Robot Thickness and Accessibility Under Furniture

The T50 focuses more on precision and agility. The noticeable difference in real life is the height: it is thinner than the Dreame, 8.1cm vs. 9.7cm, so it fits better under beds, low IKEA furniture, sofas, and suspended kitchens. Keep this in mind; it’s one of the main differences.

Navigation

Regarding navigation, the T50 is generally considered more refined. It moves better around chair legs, avoids small objects more easily, and tends to get stuck less. The Dreame does not navigate poorly; it works just fine as well, but it is more “direct” and less precise in avoiding small or complex obstacles.

Corners and Baseboards

For cleaning edges and corners, both have extendable systems: both the side brush and mop can reach towards walls. However, the T50's TruEdge system is one of its strong points and tends to clean better near baseboards and in tight corners. The Dreame is good, but the T50 is generally more accurate in details.

Hot Water, Where and How

An important difference is the hot water. The T50 uses hot water in its station to wash the mops (and only for that), so the cloths remain cleaner, smell less over time, and handle greasy dirt or kitchen residues better. The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3, on the other hand, washes the mops with regular water; it still dries the cloths with hot air, but it does not have hot washing.

Charging and Cleaning Station Autonomy

The Dreame's station is more focused on long autonomy: larger tanks, less frequent maintenance. The T50 has a more compact and less bulky station but is still very automated.

Control App

Here, Dreame wins; it has a generally better reputation. The app is more stable and predictable, with fewer bugs and more mature automations. ECOVACS' app, although significantly improved over the past few years, still seems more complex and convoluted today.

It’s up to you to choose, especially considering the robot's thickness. Dreame is aggressive and powerful: it has strong suction, is noisier when emptying, and works in a more “energetic” way. The T50 is more discreet and quieter, with smoother movements but a more complex app.
