Xbox Wants to Change Its Image: New Boot Animation Coming for Series X and S
The transformation process of the Xbox division continues under the leadership of Asha Sharma, the new CEO of Microsoft's gaming sector, who has announced another change aimed at the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles. Starting from May 13, users will receive an update that will introduce a new boot sequence, designed to accompany the recent renovation of the brand's identity.
The announcement came directly through a post published by Sharma on X, where the executive explained that the new introduction will maintain a sound component very similar to what users are already familiar with, but it will be updated visually thanks to the integration of the new Xbox logo presented in recent weeks. This is an apparently simple modification, but it represents another piece in the strategy to relaunch the platform.
New boot up coming next Wednesday. Sound on!

Asha Sharma's Work at the Helm of Xbox
Since taking over from Phil Spencer at the beginning of the year, Sharma has initiated a series of measures aimed at redefining the relationship between Xbox and its historic community. Among the first decisions adopted was the return to the simple designation "Xbox", gradually abandoning the previously used brand "Microsoft Gaming".
In addition, there are other initiatives aimed at improving brand perception, including a reduction in the cost of the higher-tier Game Pass plan and greater attention to user demands regarding the platform ecosystem. However, one of the central themes of the new management concerns the policy on first-party exclusives.
Sharma has stated that the company intends to reconsider its approach in this area, implying a possible change from the strategy adopted in recent years. The decision to publish some Xbox productions also on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 had indeed generated doubts among a portion of the fanbase, which perceived a weakening of the platform's identity.
