007 First Light: Duration Revealed, Tac Sim Mode Ensures Replayability
007 First Light presents itself as a rather substantial experience for an action and espionage title, with a main campaign that, for an average player, takes about 20 hours to complete.
This estimate was shared by JorRaptor, a well-known video game content creator, who had the opportunity to talk with the development team during a series of previews dedicated to the game.
This figure refers exclusively to the main story and does not include additional content or secondary modes.
The title, developed by IO Interactive, also offers an additional mode called Tac Sim, which greatly expands the gameplay possibilities. In this mode, players can replay missions they've already faced, but with alternative objectives and specific conditions designed to increase the variety of challenges.
Within Tac Sim, for example, specific challenges can be requested, such as completing a mission without using firearms. Player performance is evaluated and can be compared with other users through online leaderboards. The results obtained also allow players to unlock useful resources such as new weapons, gadgets, and costumes.
The progression system is thus designed to encourage replayability, offering additional content even after the main campaign is completed. Furthermore, there are several difficulty levels that can further extend the time needed to finish the story.
The game will be available from May 27 on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, while a version for Nintendo Switch 2 is expected the following summer.
After launch, support for the title will continue with new content dedicated to Tac Sim, further expanding the options available to players.
Thus, 007 First Light aims to combine a consistently lengthy narrative campaign with optional modes that have a high degree of replayability.
