iOS 27: What to Expect - Chatbots for Siri, Satellite 5G, and Apple Intelligence

iOS 27 is expected to be officially presented by Apple during the WWDC 2026 conference scheduled for June 8. Right after the announcement, an initial beta version for developers is anticipated, followed by a public release in July. The final release is expected to arrive in September for all compatible iPhones.

Among the main innovations is a new application dedicated to Siri. This system will allow interaction with the assistant both through voice and text, offering the possibility to consult previous conversations as well. The overall experience should be more akin to that of modern chatbots like ChatGPT. Additionally, Siri might be integrated into the Dynamic Island with an interface suggesting quick actions like searches or questions, accompanied by animated visual elements.

Another area of development concerns satellite connectivity. The system could introduce support for satellite 5G, although likely limited to future high-end models. New capabilities may include using Maps without traditional network, sending photos via satellite, integration for third-party apps, and a simpler connection without the need to orient the device towards the sky.

Further details and innovations are expected with iOS 27. Apple seems to want to follow a similar approach to that taken with Mac OS X Snow Leopard, focusing on stability, performance, and bug fixes, alongside improvements to the Liquid Glass design.

Among the other anticipated innovations, we find an updated keyboard with advanced suggestions similar to those of Grammarly, and new features based on Apple Intelligence. These include tools to analyze food labels, capture contacts from paper documents, digitize business cards, and automatically organize tabs in Safari.
