Google Confirms the Arrival of the New Version of Siri: Here Are the Launch Timings

The partnership with Google, announced in recent months, will allow Apple to improve Siri and enhance the capabilities of Apple Intelligence, after facing many difficulties in developing proprietary solutions that have forced the company to postpone the launch of several services. Google recently commented on this partnership through the words of Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, who anticipated the launch of significant innovations during 2026.

The Words of the Google Manager

During the Google Cloud Next 2026 event, the manager emphasized:
"Earlier this year, we announced a partnership of fundamental importance with one of the most iconic brands, which will bring the power of our technology to users around the world. We are collaborating with Apple as a preferred cloud service provider to develop the next generation of Apple Foundation Models based on Gemini technology. These models will power future Apple Intelligence features, including a more personalized version of Siri coming by the end of the year."

Many Aspects Still to Clarify

From Kurian's words, some important details emerge. The partnership with Apple is set to intensify soon with the launch of the new version of Siri. However, there is no rush at the moment, and the idea of releasing the update for Apple's voice assistant in the spring seems to have faded. The Google manager confirms that the goal is to launch by the end of the current year.

The first innovations are expected to be postponed by a few months: with the arrival of iOS 27, the first fruits of the partnership between Google and Apple for the development of Siri and other Apple Intelligence features should arrive. It is noteworthy that Google Cloud will become Apple’s "preferred cloud service provider," meaning that at least some of the AI processing could be directly handled by Google’s servers.

Further details should come at the upcoming WWDC 2026, scheduled for next June. The debut of Apple’s AI innovations is fast approaching.
