DJI Power 1000 Mini: the ultra-portable 1 kWh power station

DJI has officially announced the global launch of the new Power 1000 Mini, a portable power station that condenses a capacity of 1008 Wh into an extremely compact body. The manufacturer, with nearly twenty years of experience in developing batteries for the drone and professional camera sectors, now offers a solution that measures just 314 × 212 × 216 mm. The most significant data concerns the ratio between size and energy density: the unit occupies half the volume compared to the standard DJI Power 1000, weighing in at 11.5 kg.

Beneath the squared exterior, we find LFP (lithium iron phosphate) cells designed to ensure above-average longevity for the segment. Nail penetration tests have been successfully passed, and the company claims that the battery retains about 80% of its original capacity even after 4000 charge cycles. To manage heat, the BMS (Battery Management System) relies on 10 integrated temperature sensors, whose data can be consulted in real-time through the DJI Home app.

The integrated inverter allows for handling a maximum continuous power of 1000 W, with the ability to support loads up to 1200 W through two AC outlets, two USB-A ports, or the SDC port. The input flexibility is one of the device's strengths: when connected to the electrical grid in fast charge mode, the battery pack reaches 80% in 58 minutes, completing the cycle to 100% in about 75 minutes.

The Power 1000 Mini is designed for those working far from power outlets. The integrated 400 W car charger ensures a full charge in 160 minutes, while the MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) module allows direct connection to solar panels without the need for bulky external adapters. An additional practical feature comes from the retractable USB-C cable integrated into the frame, eliminating the need to carry extra cables for smartphones and laptops.

Integration with the brand's drone catalog is ensured by the SDC ports, which unlock specific fast-charging functions. Using the dedicated cables, it is possible to charge a DJI Air 3 battery from 10% to 95% in just 30 minutes, a critical advantage for video professionals needing a quick turnaround in the field. Aside from outdoor use, the station functions as an UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply): when connected to the electrical grid with an active device on the AC port, in the event of a blackout, the system intervenes in just 0.01 seconds, preventing sudden shutdowns of routers, NAS servers, or workstations.

In terms of robustness, DJI claims resistance to static pressure up to 1 ton, operational reliability guaranteed up to 5000 meters in altitude, and an inverter encapsulation process that protects circuits from condensation, rain, and salt fog.

The DJI Power 1000 Mini, featuring a 1008 Wh LFP battery, compact dimensions, a max power of 1000 W, and a charging time from 0% to 80% in 58 minutes, is priced at €579. However, during the launch period from April 20 to May 3, 2026, customers can benefit from an immediate discount using the code NEWPOWERMINI. The promotion is valid both at the official DJI Store, where you can purchase the single unit or in a bundle with solar panels, and on Amazon limited to the single product.
