The beta of One UI 8.5 is now available for new Samsung Galaxy smartphones
Samsung continues to work on One UI 8.5, which has been available in beta for some time. For Galaxy users, there is good news this week: the beta version of the evolution of One UI is now available for more devices.
We remember that with One UI 8.5, support for AirDrop via Quick Share has been introduced, allowing for even smoother multi-platform sharing for Galaxy users, who have long had access to advanced sharing features with Windows PCs.
The One UI 8.5 beta expands
The One UI 8.5 beta program is now available for a greater number of devices. We recall that since March 2026, support was introduced for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy S24 FE, and Galaxy Tab S11. Starting from April 2026, the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy S23 FE, and, for the first time in the A series, Galaxy A36 will be added.
The beta program will be accessible only in selected markets, including India, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The Korean company has also specified that the program will expand to more devices over the coming weeks in April. Further updates on this will be coming soon. Meanwhile, users can register via Samsung Members.
We note that, according to the latest available information, the stable release of One UI 8.5 will start from May 2026 with the Galaxy S25 series smartphones. More details about this will be coming soon.
