In 2027, a Galaxy S27 Ultra without S-Pen may arrive: will it be the Galaxy S27 Pro?

For the new Galaxy S27 range, there might be room for a fourth model: Samsung is, in fact, reconsidering the possibility of launching a Pro version to sit between the Plus and the Ultra. The arrival of a fourth Galaxy S is hinted at by a report from ETNews.

It’s worth noting that Samsung intended to replace the S26 and S26 Plus with the S26 Pro and S26 Edge but later decided to reverse that choice, canceling the Edge line (at least for now) and postponing the arrival of a Pro model. The new strategy seems different: in 2027, the S27, S27 Plus, S27 Pro, and S27 Ultra are expected to arrive.

The First Details

The Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro may be very similar to the Galaxy S27 Ultra but with some small details that should justify the additional cost that the Korean company will request for the Ultra model. The Pro version will not have the S-Pen but will retain the same camera system, the Privacy Display, and also the same chip (the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro) alongside the Ultra model. Other small differences are not excluded.

For example, the Pro model might be slightly smaller and there could be differences concerning the battery and other technical specifications. On the other hand, the software will not present differences (aside from the features related to the use of the S-Pen).

Further details regarding the Galaxy S27 Pro should arrive over the coming weeks. Samsung has already begun the development of the S27 series, but the launch is still far off. The new smartphones from the Korean company will be available only in the first quarter of 2027.
