TIM Launches Easter Offer: Unlimited 5G Data for Free for Selected Customers

TIM returns to the attack with its classic customer loyalty strategy aimed at a specific target of users via MyTIM or SMS, offering the option Unlimited 5G Data in a special Easter version.

The initiative, valid from April 3 to April 7, 2026, allows users to browse freely in terms of data traffic until 11:59 PM on the day following activation. This is not the first time the operator has moved in this direction (consider the recent promotional window opened for Father's Day in mid-March), with the new initiative confirming the dynamic management of "free" options to encourage users to switch to higher connectivity profiles while testing the robustness of the network.

TIM reopens the 5G tap: Unlimited data gifts for Easter.

On a purely performance level, it is essential to distinguish the two access profiles that TIM has crystallized in its price list. The free option enables the standard 5G profile, translating to a performance cap set at 250 Mbps download and 75 Mbps upload. This speed, while ample for any type of streaming or intensive mobile use, should not be confused with 5G Ultra, which can reach 2 Gbps with priority access on the cell. However, if the customer's line already has an active offer that includes the Ultra profile, the unlimited data provided for Easter will inherit that higher speed, eliminating the bottleneck of the basic profile.

Activation occurs through the usual digital channels (Do-It-Yourself Area, MyTIM App) or traditional ones like the IVR at 40916. An essential requirement remains the presence of available credit on the SIM, without which the option cannot be finalized despite the absence of activation costs or fees.

The concept of "unlimited" in the Italian market continues to be governed by the rules of lawful and fair use. TIM considers an usage in good faith to be compliant if it does not exceed 600 GB per month. Exceeding this threshold (still very generous for a 48-hour promo) allows the operator to intervene on the line's performance. For those planning to move outside the national borders during the long weekend, the promo includes a package of 6 GB dedicated to EU Roaming, Moldova, and Ukraine. Once this bundle is exhausted, browsing continues on a pay-per-use basis according to the standard charge of 0.13 euro cents per MB, unless other active data options are present.
