The vivo V70 series arrives in Italy: 200MP camera and 7,000 mAh battery to challenge the competition
After the signs of acceleration seen at MWC in Barcelona, vivo has chosen Milan to officially unveil its new bet for the Italian market: the V70 series. Consisting of the V70 model and the surprising V70 FE, this new lineup aims to disrupt the norms of the mid-range segment, offering technology typically seen only in more expensive flagship devices.
“The V70 series offers a better user experience thanks to an even more appealing design, superior photography, and overall optimized performance,” said Yong Dao, General Manager of vivo Italy. “With a refined and durable design, the new OriginOS that is even smoother and smarter, and a professional-grade camera system, we provide users with stylish and reliable devices in any scenario.”
vivo V70: The ZEISS touch at the heart of the mid-range
The undisputed star is the vivo V70. Here, the collaboration with ZEISS is not just a logo on the case, but a deep integration. The camera department is a triumph of symmetry and power: four 50 Megapixel sensors each. From the main camera with optical stabilization to the wide-angle, through the telephoto lens and the selfie cam, every shot benefits from algorithms developed with the historic German optical brand.

Interesting is the management of bokeh: the software allows varying the virtual focal length, simulating the use of professional lenses without forcing the user into uncomfortable physical movements. But it’s in video that vivo tries to make the difference with the Stage Mode, a feature designed for concerts and live events that optimizes audio performance by isolating vocal and musical frequencies, eliminating background noise.
Under the hood beats the heart of BlueVolt technology, which allows for extremely thin designs (only 7.19 mm for the Authentic Black version) without sacrificing energy capacity. We’re talking about a 5,500 mAh battery with 80W FlashCharge, a rare combination for such a slim device.
vivo V70 FE: The giant of autonomy with 7,000 mAh
While the V70 focuses on optical finesse, the V70 FE is the “muscle” of the series. Here, vivo has decided to take risks, integrating a massive 7,000 mAh battery. This value aims to redefine the concept of autonomy for modern smartphones, especially considering that the design remains manageable with a thickness of only 7.6 mm. To avoid leaving the user tethered to the wall for hours, the brand has included 90W Ultra Fast Charge, capable of restoring 50% of energy in a very short time.

Even on the imaging front, the V70 FE does not hold back: the main sensor of 200 Megapixels is designed for “smart cropping.” Thanks to the incredibly high resolution, it is possible to capture a single frame and extract multiple perfect shots for social media without losing detail. The artificial intelligence here does the rest, offering features such as consistent sky swapping and group selfie correction, where the AI standardizes the appearance of all subjects in a single shot.
Software, ecosystem, and unprecedented support
Both models come with Funtouch OS (based on the new OriginOS for the international market), a system that makes fluidity its mantra. The real novelty is the integration of generative AI: real-time translations during calls and automatic summaries of YouTube videos are now system functions.
For those who work on the go, the Office Kit represents a remarkable added value. Available for Windows, Mac, and iPad, it allows for cross-device management similar to that of more closed ecosystems, with drag-and-drop file transfer between PC and smartphone and remote device management. But the news that will make longevity enthusiasts happy is the promise of support: vivo guarantees a whopping 6 years of software updates, even exceeding the requirements of European legislation.
Availability, prices, and bundles
Now for the most awaited notes: the prices. The vivo V70 will be available from April 2, 2026, at a list price of €699. The colors chosen for Italy are Alpine Gray and Authentic Black, with an exclusive Sandalwood Brown variant available online. At launch, vivo has planned a “Speed Promo” only for April 1st with a discount of €100 on the official store. On Amazon, it will be offered at €649 with a dedicated bundle.
The vivo V70 FE is offered in the interesting “Full Experience Kit” version (which includes a 90W charger and Buds Air3 earbuds) starting at €459. On Amazon, the exclusive version will be available at the aggressive price of €369. Operator offers are also available: with WINDTRE, for example, the V70 FE will be available starting from €6.99 per month.
