OPPO Sets Date for Find X9 Ultra Event: Everything We Know Before the Launch
OPPO has revealed the launch date for its new generation of flagship devices. On April 21, at 7:00 PM local time in China, the manufacturer will hold a joint event with Hasselblad entirely focused on imaging technologies. The stars of the show will be the Find X9 Ultra and the Find X9s Pro, two devices that, while belonging to the same family, aim at very different usage segments, all while maintaining a high technical standard.
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra represents the pinnacle of optical engineering for the company in 2026. The most significant innovation concerns the telephoto system, which introduces a completely redesigned prism structure allowing for a native 10x optical zoom (120x digitally). The new system features active optical calibration technology to ensure perfect alignment of components, which is crucial when working with such extended focal lengths. The main sensor will be a custom 50 MP unit, supported by an advanced image processing engine to maximize the chromatic detail characteristic of the Hasselblad brand.

Alongside the Ultra, the Find X9s Pro positions itself as a nearly unique offering in the current landscape. We're talking about a device that seeks to combine compact dimensions, thanks to a 6.32-inch OLED panel, with a first-class technical specification. The heart of the terminal is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, but the most striking feature is the battery capacity: a remarkable 7,000 mAh. Being able to integrate such a dense cell in a compact body suggests the use of new anodic material technologies. Charging will be handled by a fast 80W system.
The Find X9s Pro features a dual-camera system with 200 MP, with the high-resolution primary sensor accompanied by a telephoto lens of the same pixel count. The goal seems to be to ensure qualitative consistency when switching between different optics, while also providing unprecedented digital cropping capability for compact category cameras.
The event on April 21 will also showcase OPPO's tablet ecosystem, with two new high-end solutions: OPPO Pad Mini, which appears to be an extremely interesting device for those seeking uncompromised portability, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. For those needing maximum productivity and performance, the OPPO Pad 5 Pro will be presented with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
"The quest for ultimate imaging has always been the mission of the Find X series," said Pete Lau, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer of OPPO, when announcing the date. "With the Find X9 Ultra, we have achieved something truly extraordinary. By introducing the Hasselblad Ultra-Sensing telephoto lens with 50MP and 10x optical zoom, allowing for a true 10x optical zoom and 20x optical quality digital zoom, we are pushing the boundaries of what's possible with zoom on smartphones. This is not just another flagship; it's your next camera."
The new lineup will join the already announced Find X9 devices from late last year, with the Chinese manufacturer aiming to consolidate its presence in the premium market, especially in two areas it has been increasingly addressing in recent years: photography and battery energy density.
