Antec and Noctua Together: Introducing the Flux Pro Noctua Edition with Top-Notch Fans

Antec has expanded its offering in the high-end case segment with a special proposal, born from the collaboration with Noctua. The new Antec Flux Pro Noctua Edition represents indeed the first chassis on the market distributed directly with fans from the Austrian manufacturer Noctua.

A Full Tower with Premium Features

The starting point is the Flux Pro, a well-known E-ATX full tower already in Antec's catalog, now enriched with a high-level cooling setup: four NF-A14x25 G2 fans and two NF-A12x25 G2, accompanied by a NA-FH1 PWM hub capable of controlling up to eight fans with a single signal. The goal is to provide a solution that combines high thermal performance with extremely quiet operation, even with particularly demanding hardware configurations.

The choice to include the fans separately, in a dedicated kit, addresses two needs: protection during transport and greater configuration freedom for the user. Noctua still provides precise guidelines on the optimal layout, suggesting a setup with three front fans, one rear fan, and two on the PSU cover to enhance GPU cooling via vertical airflow.

Main Technical Specifications

The Flux Pro Noctua Edition positions itself in the high-end segment also due to its size and compatibility:

  • Form factor: up to E-ATX (285 mm)
  • Dimensions: 245 x 545 x 530 mm
  • Radiator support: up to 420 mm (front and top)
  • GPU space: up to 455 mm
  • CPU cooler height: up to 190 mm
  • Weight: approximately 13.8 kg
  • Warranty: 6 years

The structure is made of steel with a tempered glass side panel, while the design features wood elements and the characteristic brown color of the Noctua brand.

Design and Construction: Shared Identity

Aesthetically, the collaboration is evident. The front mesh with a diagonal pattern is framed by a walnut wood element, while brown details characterize the top, panels, and internal components. The result is a highly recognizable product that recalls Noctua's visual identity.

Original solutions include a small integrated side display that can show CPU and GPU temperatures via Antec's proprietary iUnity software. Connectivity on the top panel includes USB 3.0, USB-C, and audio jacks, with dust covers.

Internal Space and Flexibility

The interior is organized according to a modern dual-chamber design, with ample space for the motherboard and a lower compartment for the power supply and storage. Cable management is facilitated by dedicated channels and Velcro straps, while modularity allows for different configurations:

  • Support for up to two 360/420 mm radiators
  • Three fans on the PSU cover for GPU cooling
  • Modular and removable drive cage
  • Numerous mounts for 2.5" and 3.5" drives

Interestingly, the choice to mount the power supply in a rotated position by default is intended to improve internal airflow.

Pricing and Positioning

With a list price of €399.90, the product is positioned in the premium range, at the level of the Cosmos Alpha, although these are two extremely different cases. However, considering the separate cost of the included components—the base case, fans, and hub—the bundle proves to be economically coherent, offering theoretical savings compared to purchasing the individual elements.

In the landscape of cases with wood elements, the Flux Pro Noctua Edition stands as an alternative to solutions like the Fractal Design North XL, offering greater cooling capacity and a superior fan setup, though at a higher price and with a less comprehensive dust filtration system.

The product does not introduce a completely new design but represents a targeted evolution: a already valid case that is enhanced by high-end components and a well-defined aesthetic identity.

In summary, the Flux Pro Noctua Edition targets a niche of users: those who want to build a high-performance system, particularly focused on quiet operation and fan quality, and appreciate Noctua's distinctive aesthetics. The main obstacle remains the price, but it can be seen as a long-term investment.
