Garmin CIRQA, the new screenless smartband that challenges Fitbit Air

The smartband market has a new protagonist. It is the Garmin CIRQA, a screenless model that aims to become a true fitness tracker, rich in features but without the need for a subscription to fully utilize all its characteristics. Therefore, it is an alternative to the Fitbit Air, which, however, requires a subscription. Garmin's new product is very interesting, even though it arrives on the market with a not-so-accessible price. Here are the details.

A screenless fitness tracker

The Garmin CIRQA can be paired with Android smartphones and iPhones, providing continuous monitoring of various health and physical activity parameters, without the presence of a display. All the data collected can be consulted through the Garmin Connect app, without any subscription. Health monitoring allows keeping track of heart rate, stress levels, skin temperature, and various other factors. There is also sleep monitoring. As for sports activities, the smartband recognizes over 80 different activities. It also features some training metrics that characterize the sports smartwatches produced by Garmin. However, there is no satellite geolocation system. The smartphone's GPS is used to determine the location.

The new Garmin CIRQA will be officially available starting from July 24, with a retail price of 199.99 euros. The smartband comes to market in four different colors: Black, Captain Blue, French Grey, and Mauve. Purchases can be made directly through the Garmin store.
